The Airdopes 601 ANC, a completely wireless earphone, was released recently by BOAT. The new Airdopes 601 ANC, which is priced at Rs. 4,999, features active noise-cancelling earphones. But is it even worthwhile? We tested the earphones for a month, and here’s our verdict on whether we think they’re worth buying or not.

The product’s charging case has a matte appearance. The product is a bit bulky, but the plastic is of high quality. The charging case has a reset button on the back. A USB-C charging connector is conveniently located on the device’s side. The product’s battery life is indicated via four LED lights on the front. The Boat logo is affixed to the stem-shaped earbuds. The earphones are comfortable and well-fitted. Nevertheless, the fit isn’t stable, and earphones could slip out during strenuous exercise. The colour scheme is also appealing. The earbuds are sweatproof thanks to their IPX4 classification.
ANC mode and loudness affect playtime. The earphones’ playtime will be drastically shortened if you use them in ANC mode or at high volumes. Each earbud has a 4.5-hour battery life. If you disable ANC, this playtime increases to 5.5 hours. In addition, the casing holds enough fuel for another 22 hours, bringing the overall battery life to up to 28 hours. The gadget also boasts a quick-charge function that allows for an hour of enjoyment after only five minutes of charging.
The music can be played or paused by double touching on either earpiece. A single tap on the earbuds will answer a call or end one that is already in progress. Double-tapping either earbud will reject an incoming call. Your voice assistant will be activated if you long-press the left earbud. The product has three modes: normal mode, ANC mode, and transparent mode. The modes are continuously changed by long pressing the right earbud.
The boat’s AirDopes 601 and ANC have effective swipe gesture controls for adjusting the volume and switching between tracks. Swipe down on the left earpiece to play the next song. The previous song can be accessed by swiping up on the left earpiece. Swipe up on the right earbud to turn up the volume. Similarly, swiping down on the left earbud will lower the volume. When you remove both earbuds, the music stops playing, and when you replace them, it starts playing again. With just one earbud, the in-ear function will not function.
Look and Feel
It wasn’t really impressive to me at first, and I won’t extol its virtues. I was sceptical since the packaging seemed excessive, the case seemed excessive, and the earphones appeared to be extremely basic. But when examined closely, the gadget’s matte case and earbuds make it look absolutely flawless.
Sound and Call Quality
The dynamic drivers on the Boat Airdrop 601 are 10 mm. Loudness is appropriate. The bass is strong, and the sound is characteristic of Boat. The volume level will not cause any audible distortion. The vocals are audible. The trebles are also good. When it comes to the product’s audio, no further flaws are discernible. If you’re a fan of sub-bass frequencies, you may be disappointed by the lack of these effects. In our opinion, the bass effects are adequate. The product has an amazing ANC mode. There is no longer any background noise. Only those who are directly in front of you or behind you will be audible. ‘
With the Boat Airdopes 601, you may anticipate an 80–90% noise reduction. The transparency mode, however, falls short. When turned up to 11, much of the ambient noise disappears. Only about 50% to 60% of the volume seems to be sufficient for the transparency mode to function. The product’s call quality is average. The callers report that the voice is clear but thick. Almost all of the ambient noise is gone. The four microphones and ENX technology in the product allow the earphones to concentrate on your voice rather than ambient noise.
The Boat Airdopes 601 ANC is a fantastic choice if you want a high-quality device with lots of modern features. With its clever features like IWP Technology, in-ear recognition, and swiping motions, the device will make your life simple and enjoyable. However, the product lacks certain extremely fundamental features, such as a game mode and a long battery life.
The boAt Airdopes 601 ANC is priced at Rs. 4999 and can be purchased from both the boAt website and Flipkart. If you don’t want to skimp on quality and want to enjoy your games for longer, the Airdopes 601 ANC could be the perfect companion.
