Dancing On Ice’s New Season Gets Stephen Mulhern, As A New Judge
Twelve celebrities will compete on the ice in the 16th season of Dancing On Ice, which is scheduled to premiere in January, to impress the judges. ‘Dancing on Ice’s’ new host, Stephen Mulhern, will reportedly take Phillip Schofield’s seat.
Having presented the ice skating competition with Holly Willoughby since 2006, Schofield resigned from ITV earlier this year after admitting to having an affair with a younger male coworker on This Morning. As a result, he will not be hosting the show again.
After Schofield tested positive for Covid-19 in 2022, Mulhern and Willoughby co-hosted the ITV skating competition for a brief period. From 2004 to 2006, the two also hosted the Saturday morning children’s program Ministry Of Mayhem, which was subsequently renamed Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.

Olympian Greg Rutherford, West End star Amber Davies, singer Hannah Spearritt, former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton, and actress Claire Sweeney from Coronation Street are all in the 2024 lineup. Competitors include TV personality Miles Nazaire, writer and comedian Lou Sanders, actor Ricky Norwood, radio host Adele Roberts, actor Ryan Thomas, and Roxy Shahidi from Emmerdale. After breaking his left ankle during ice skating training, former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb was forced to withdraw from the show. Olympian Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards took his place.
In 2024, Dancing On Ice will make a nine-week return to ITV and ITVX.
