The iPhone 15 Pro series uses the LiDAR sensor to capture 3D video with both the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras. The iPhone can shoot 3D videos, but hardware restrictions prevent native viewing. Apple improved the telephoto lens to take speedier photos. You can now program the new action button on the iPhone 15 Pro series to instantly translate sentences, among other new capabilities.

Similarly, all iPhones running iOS 17.2, including older devices like the iPhone XS/XR and the iPhone SE 2020, will have access to Journal, the free journaling software that was initially introduced at WWDC 2023. Additional security features for the Journal app include support for Face ID and Touch ID. If you own an iPhone 13, 14, or 15 model year and have an iOS 17.2 device, you can now charge your phone quickly with a 15W charger that isn’t MagSafe certified, thanks to the Qi2 wireless charging standard.
