The OnePlus 12 has now made its official debut in China on 5 December. The company has previously confirmed some specifications of the forthcoming flagship phone, so the imminent introduction of the OnePlus 12 is hardly shocking.
The OnePlus 12 will launch globally next month, reports say. The smartphone maker will launch its next flagship phone in worldwide regions, including India, weeks after its China debut. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip powers the OnePlus 12’s Hasselblad-tuned rear camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor. A business executive said the phone will launch alongside the OnePlus 12R.
Hardware Info reports (in Dutch) that OnePlus Benelux Country Manager Alexander Vanderhaeghe said during the company’s Never Settle community event in Antwerp on Friday that the OnePlus 12 will launch in Europe and globally on January 23. This matches prior claims of a similar handset launch schedule.

OnePlus China President Li Jie said on Weibo that the OnePlus 12 will have a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Leaks from earlier sources reveal that this periscope zoom camera may use an OmniVision OV64B sensor for up to 3x optical zoom. OnePlus has provided camera samples of this periscope zoom camera, emphasizing its low-light picture capture. The OnePlus 12 may have a triple-back camera, according to leaks. It may have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide Sony IMX581 sensor, and a 64-megapixel 3x telephoto zoom lens.
A 32-megapixel selfie sensor may be in front. Since this is OnePlus’ flagship phone, an alert slider is expected. It should also have an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. A 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging may be inside.
