Jindal Stainless and MSME Technology Centre Forge Alliance to Boost Defence and Aerospace Manufacturing

In a significant move to bolster India’s defence and aerospace manufacturing capabilities, Jindal Stainless has partnered with the MSME Technology Centre in Visakhapatnam. The collaboration, sealed through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aims to leverage Jindal Stainless’ expertise in strategic material supply and the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the MSME Technology Centre.

Under this partnership, the focus will be on manufacturing value-added products tailored for the missile and satellite launch vehicle segments. These products, ranging from motor casings to missile wings and rocket motor boosters, are crucial components for various defence and aerospace equipment.

The agreement also aims to support local MSMEs by involving them in production orders, thereby fostering their growth and contributing to the government’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative. This strategic alliance is expected to enhance the manufacturing of essential components significantly and sub-assemblies vital for the development of equipment across defence, aerospace, and other related industries.

Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, expressed confidence in delivering high-quality products to the defence and aerospace sectors efficiently, aligning with the government’s vision of self-reliance. Prasada Reddy G, Head of MSME Technology Centre, highlighted the combination of their skill development training and innovative research capabilities with Jindal Stainless’ top-notch materials, ensuring unparalleled products for the defence and aerospace sectors.

The MoU signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key figures, including Prasada Reddy, Head of Business Development of Jindal Defence and Aerospace, Col (Retd) Piyush Verma, and Head of Sales and Marketing, Amit Goyal. This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s indigenous manufacturing capabilities in the crucial defence and aerospace sectors.
