How to get the Glide armor set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, armour sets are stylish and provide Link with special powers. I use the Glide armour set to dive from Sky Islands and Skyview Towers since it makes Link more manoeuvrable. Few armour sets are as valuable as the Glide set, which increases climbing ability and flame resistance. Glide armour can eliminate fall damage with a Great Fairy upgrade. This ability gives you the freedom to explore TOTK.
You must earn the Glide armour set instead of buying it with rupees like other TOTK armour. I think it’s worth it. TOTK Glide Set unlock instructions are here.
Glide Armour Set Details
The Glide Armour set includes the mask, shirt, and tights. Each component boosts Skydive Mobility. Impact Proof, which eliminates fall damage, is added to the armour set when upgraded to two stars. Although the player can already use the paraglider to prevent this, it’s beneficial if they’ve run out of stamina and are free-falling.
TOTK Glide Shirt: Where to buy?
Glide armour comes in three pieces: chest, legs, and head armour, like other clothing sets. Players must complete different tasks for each piece. Go to Courage Island at (-2231, 0919, 1644) in the sky zone to find the Glide Shirt. Launch yourself up Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, where you can locate the invaluable Hestu, to reach here.
Gaining the Glide armour set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Go to Courage Island at (-2231, 0919, 1644) in the sky zone to find the Glide Shirt. Launch yourself up Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, where you can locate the invaluable Hestu, to reach here. Float to the island on the map below. Using a stone ring on top of this island activates a new challenge. Following this, a green ring will emerge near the platform. Jump off the platform through the ring and follow the path to the lowest island. When you land in the sea, a shrine appears, but the island has more. Talk to a steward and construct the shrine steps to start the dive ceremony task for the glide shirt. It costs one Zonai charge, but the Steward Construct returns you to the starting platform to begin the task.
Where to Get Glide Tights?
The player must visit the Thyplo Ruins Skyview Tower at 0338, 3123, and 0174 north of the Great Hyrule Forest to get the Glide Tights. South of the tower, fly to Bravery Island in the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago. Bravery Island floats over the Lost Woods at 0243, 2092, 1980. Accept the Steward Construct’s Dive Ceremony task on the island. Again, the player must dive through all the rings in 35 seconds. It will give you glide tights. As with the last challenge, each attempt costs one Zonai charge. Complete this Dive Ceremony to unlock a 20-second challenge for a Large Zonai Charge.
Where’s the glide mask?
Finally, reach the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower at 3845, 1306, and 0539, at the pinnacle, to get the Glide Mask. Prepare for the frigid alpine air with a cold-resistant meal boost and useful armour. Launch and glide northeast from the tower towards Valour Island in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago. Gliding directly to Valour Island requires more stamina than the previous islands. Visit the islands northeast of the tower for pit stops.
Each island has a Zonai flying machine for transport. Reach Valour Island at 4471, -0840, and 2624 in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago with the second flying machine. Trial runm unlocks adjacent Sihajog Shrine again. After finishing, take the island’s Steward Construct’s Dive Ceremony task. To win the Glide Mask, dive through all the rings in 35 seconds. Similar to the previous challenges, each try demands a Zonai Charge price, and completing it unlocks an extra Dive Ceremony for more large Zonai Charges.
Where are the glide tights?
The Glide Tights are on Bravery Island, a sky island in the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago (0176, 1988, 0758). Take off from the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and paraglide south to the circle-shaped island farthest south of the four. A steward construct awaits you on the island. They’ll describe the dive ceremony. Pay one Zonai fee and skydive through green rings as fast as possible in the timed challenge. Complete this trial to get Glide Tights. This armour provides +2 defence and boosts skydiving mobility. Make sure to activate the Simosiwak Shrine before leaving.
Placement of the glide mask
The Glide Mask is on Valour Island in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago at (4459, -821, 1114). To reach there, launch from the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and paraglide northeast towards the circle on the map. A steward construct awaits you on the island. They’ll describe the dive ceremony. A timed challenge to skydive through green rings as rapidly as possible costs one Zonai charge. Complete this trial to get the Glide Mask. This two-defence armour boosts skydiving mobility. Remember to activate the island’s Sihajog Shrine.
Glide armour upgrade cost, bonus, and effect
All Glide Armour pieces offer you a skydiving mobility bonus, letting you move quicker and more effortlessly in the air. Upgrade each armour piece twice to get the Impact Proof set benefit, which eliminates fall damage when wearing the full set.
