Warframe Cross Save: A Guide
Warframe may have started as a game about space ninjas killing enemies in reasonably small areas, but the company that makes it, Digital Extremes, is constantly changing it. The game has been updated with new places, Warframes, and ways to play, such as space combat and open-world areas. Fans have been asking for Warframe cross-save for a long time, though. Crossplay is finally here, and we also have a minor update for Warframe cross-save.
What Does Warframe Cross Save Mean?
Warframe cross-save means that you play and save Warframe game files on one platform, but you can access your saved files on other platforms if you sign into the same account there. With the Warframe cross-platform, you can play your game with the same settings on any system.
Does Warframe Let You Save or Play Other Games?
Warframe does not have a cross-save or cross-platform play (Warframe crossplay) at the moment, and it will only have either for a short time. DE moves data from Console to PC or PC to Console once or twice a year to keep all platforms in sync. Still, cross-save is a long way off. Cross-saving isn’t possible because PC updates come out much faster than updates for other consoles. The reason for this is explained above. Also, you can’t take your Warframe account to a different platform.
Why Can’t You Warframe Cross Save?
A code problem is the main reason Warframe has yet to have cross-save, along with the fact that updates sometimes happen simultaneously on all platforms. Different platforms use different code languages, so it might be necessary for all of them to be able to talk to each other.
How Could Warframe Cross Save Be a Problem?
Some players might be worried that the update will come out at different times on different platforms, which could affect how cross-saves work. It’s not a big deal. If you get some rewards on your up-to-date PC and then switch to your PlayStation, which still has the old version of Warframe, the only loss is that you can’t use your new achievements on PS. When you return to your computer, you can get your rewards again.
But from a bug-fixing point of view, it would be better to release on PC STEAM as soon as the build is ready instead of waiting until the console build is ready. This would make more money. DE does most of its testing on PC builds (because PC players are more likely to report bugs) and makes sure that each Console update doesn’t cause any bugs that can be used to exploit the Console. Without the PC tests, these bugs will slow down the path to DE certification for Consoles.
So, PCs and consoles will still be out of sync. You can use the Warframe cross-save feature whenever they aren’t in sync. Cross-save isn’t possible right now, and it may be for a short time because of this problem with needing to be in sync.

- Specify the testing environment by platform and attach relevant media if problems are discovered.
- If you’re using a PC, please submit your EE.log, which can be accessed by selecting “Get Logs” from the Diagnostics subheading of the launcher’s Options menu.
- Please create a Help Request, label it “CROSS-PLATFORM PLAY BUG,” and include your EE.Log there.
- If your PC crashes, please describe the events leading up to the impact when filing a ticket (it will generate a WAR number).
