Although its active noise cancellation (ANC) features lag behind competing high-end headphones, it’s audio quality and battery life shine. That’s really good for $350 in the current US currency.

Sennheiser has been an industry leader in active noise canceling (ANC) headphones for many years. Unsurprisingly, it wants to compete with the best active noise-canceling headphones on the market. Compared to its rivals, Sennheiser prefers to offer fewer but more substantial updates rather than new goods regularly. The Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless has been out for a while, and its successor will have to live up to high expectations. Sennheiser has taken a decidedly understated approach with these, ditching the metal headband and big branding of the model they replaced. Performance

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless has 42 mm dynamic drivers that produce a frequency range of 6 Hz to 22 kHz, making for a stunningly high-quality listening experience. The headphones work with several different audio codecs and versions of Bluetooth, including SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX adaptive. While the Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless’s overly prominent bass left us cold, the Momentum 4 Wireless’s well-rounded and nuanced sound profile won us over.

The sound is nearly neutral, with a tiny slant toward the low end. This, however, results in tracks that are surprisingly robust and exciting. The bass drums in Glass Animals’ songs like “The Other Side of Paradise” has a decent kick to them without being too dominant. The fast-attacking bass response is excellent as well. Vocals have excellent production quality and timbre. The mix is quite clear and detailed, especially for the lead instruments. Sennheiser has always done a great job of producing sparkling highs that don’t sound tinny.

For closed-back headphones, the image is superb, and the soundstage is respectable in size. Hotel California and other songs like it are incredibly enveloping because it is easy to pick out individual instruments and vocalists on the stage. We were pleasantly delighted by the rich, spacious, and clear sound performance across various genres when using these headphones.

Conclusion

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless has excellent sound quality and long battery life compared to other wireless headphones. You got yourself a pair of damn decent headphones in 2022 if they have good ANC performance, a sleek design, quick charging, and app support.
