PowerA FUSION Pro Wired Gaming Headset

Starting with the protective case that holds the controller, cord, and swappable thumbsticks, the FUSION Pro 3 enhances gaming. The Volume Dial and One-Touch Mic Mute with LED indicator help gamers control sound balance and conversation. Combine the controller’s dual rumble motors, and impulse triggers with a headset linked to the 3.5mm sound connector for an immersive gaming experience. The built-in sharing button lets gamers quickly snapshot or clip share with others, and the 10-foot braided USB-C cable lasts while playing from the couch or a gamer’s favorite chair.

Pricing and availability

Buy the PowerA Fusion Pro 3 for $79.99 / £79.99. US customers can buy from PowerA’s website or Amazon. Game, Argos, and Sports Direct sell it in the UK. Australian pricing and release date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Design

The PowerA Fusion Pro 3 impresses right away. It comes with a carrying case, which is great for expensive pads. Discover the controller, 10ft braided cord, and two swappable thumbsticks within the case. Tall concave and convex sticks. Two of each would have been excellent, but it would have raised the controller’s price. Despite being more expensive than Microsoft’s pad, the Fusion Pro 3’s build quality is slightly better than lesser pads from the same manufacturer, but it doesn’t feel as robust. If you’re used to the best Xbox controllers, the Fusion Pro 3 feels cheap and lightweight. The triggers and shoulder buttons seem fragile, too. Thank goodness the hair trigger locks give your fingertips extra purchase, so switch them to midway. In default, triggers feel loose.

Performance

PowerA FUSION Pro Wired Gaming Headset

Ancillary characteristics make the PowerA Fusion Pro 3 stand out. The four mappable back buttons are well-functioning and haptic. Hold the Programme button on the pad’s back to assign inputs. You can’t establish several profiles, so expect to swap buttons when switching games frequently. As with the HyperX Clutch Gladiate, third-party controllers with hair trigger locks can be unresponsive. They function well on the Fusion Pro 3 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. As said, I enjoyed having the trigger locks in the intermediate position for greater durability. In Halo Infinite and Fortnite, the tightest setting is ideal for rapid trigger fingers. A mic volume control between the D-pad and the right analog stick is also nice. If you have a headset, flicking this will increase or decrease the mic volume. Mic muting is also possible by pressing the center. I wish more controllers had this onboard feature to avoid opening Xbox settings.

Style

The Emerald Fade color is great. However, PowerA provides this headset in 7 colors. One dubbed “Cosmos Nebula” is iridescent purple that fades into blue, in perfect condition. If you like Rose Gold, they have one too. The ear cups’ colored highlights, especially the subtle iridescence, are nice yet balanced. The PowerA logo on the ears is noticeable, yet it looks beautiful, too. Overall, the Fusion Gaming Headset looks great. No grievances.

Comfort

PowerA FUSION Pro Wired Gaming Headset

Performance aside, comfort may be most essential. This is an excellent wired headset, which is crucial because batteries add weight. This wired headset performs well while being lightweight. As said, the ear pads are robust and pleasant, and the over-the-ear cups are large enough to seal and protect your ears.

PROSCONS
Smart Xbox-like designA bit costly
4 mappable back buttonsCheap and light construction
The Mic volume switch is good.
Good trigger locks

Conclusion

PowerA’s FUSION Gaming Headset is a very inexpensive headset with good quality and longevity despite a warm-up issue. Everything from its easy-to-access design and cozy foundation to its amazing auditory feedback and mic output is exceptional, especially given its price. All of this makes FUSION too easy to recommend. Invest! The FUSION Pro 3 can swap thumbsticks and faceplates. Swappable sticks are in the box; however, the faceplate must be purchased. Pull the faceplate and slap the new one on—they’re magnetic, fit flawlessly, and keep in place without any effort. A protective case keeps the FUSION Pro 3’s controller, cable, and spare thumbsticks secure and portable. Check out this fantastic controller that lets you alter things as needed.
