Design

The Evolve2 75 headphones are quite comfy. The leather and semi-matte plastic headband look great and are lightweight. The headband and earcups are padded. These headphones are comfortable due to cushioning. Wear them for hours without pain. They’re light and don’t weary the ears or head. The headphones are black or beige.

The left ear cup has a power/pairing switch, USB-C port, and ANC/ambient mode button. The right side has a retractable boom mic with a mute button. This button works as a voice assistant when not taking calls. The headphones’ mute button is useful. Right-hand volume and track navigation buttons Answer calls using the right button. Nice button location, but it takes time to get used to the controls. It com es with a Bluetooth USB dongle that extends wireless range to 100 feet. Offering this to Jabra is wonderful. A comfortable zip pouch makes carrying the headphones easy. The box includes a Type-C charging cord. The Jabra Evolve2 75 is one of the most comfy headphones we’ve tried in a while, so we liked its design.

Performance

The Bluetooth 5.2 headphones support AAC and SBC. The lack of AptX support is surprising. The headphones are certified for Microsoft Unified Communication platforms. Microsoft recommends it on its website: “Evolve2 75 is certified for Microsoft Teams to get the best experience possible, with better, easier access to all of its features, ensuring faster adoption and more consistent use by providing a seamless collaboration experience wherever you’re working.” Despite Microsoft’s “certificate,” call quality is inconsistent. We didn’t have any issues, although callers complained about echo. Overall, the headphones provide excellent call clarity.

The headphones contain 40-mm dynamic drivers with 20 Hz–20 kHz frequencies. This is for music only; calls range from 100 Hz to 8 kHz. According to Jabra headset users, the Sound+ app is the core of all customizations. The iOS and Android apps let you swap voice assistants, modify sound, use ANC, EQ, and more. The sound quality of these headphones is very balanced. The headphones produce bass-heavy songs like Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Care About Us” without being too harsh. Leonard Cohen’s powerful vocals in “Hallelujah” sound great. Mids and lows are sharp, and vocals are clear. The sound is clear, and instrument separation is good.

Software

For full enterprise support of the Jabra Evolve2 75 headphones, download Jabra Direct for Windows or macOS. Launch the software after installation to display the device, Bluetooth, updates, settings, feedback, and help tabs. The Device tab displays headset connection status for compatible apps. My computer supports Skype for Business, Mitel, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom with the Jabra Evolve2 75 headphones. The status will display ready ornot ready. Set up any unready service by tapping the information icon. Touch the equalizer icon on the device tab to easily customize your equalizer to your music preferences. Device settings are the other important tab. This tab includes many settings to maximize your experience (see image gallery screenshot). On-ear detection, sleep mode, boom arm rotation to answer calls, and more are toggled.

Sound App

The Android and iOS Jabra Sound+ app is a great all-in-one solution for most of the company’s products. Each model unlocks a set of capabilities, and the Evolve2 75 lets you tune audio for your hearing, convert the default voice assistant to Alexa, turn on Find My Jabra, alter sound settings (such as how much of your voice you hear), and update the firmware. You also have ANC and Hear Through mode faders, adjustable EQ, and built-in soundtracks to help you focus and relax. The Jabra Direct desktop software, which combines app functionality with an on-screen call dashboard, works with the headset. Jabra Direct for macOS and Windows isn’t necessary for headset functioning.

Top-notch headset

The comfy Jabra Evolve2 75 Bluetooth headset has great call quality, reliable ANC circuitry, and powerful audio drivers. It also has a retractable boom mic. If you need a headset that works well for music and calls, it’s worth the money. If you prefer music to calls, the Bose QuietComfort 45 has class-leading ANC. For the best of both worlds, the Jabra Evolve2 75 is our Editors’ Choice for high-end Bluetooth headphones.
