The BoAt Rockerz are without a doubt a good choice for first-time wireless earphone users. At a low price of Rs 1,299, they have a lot to offer, like 30 hours of battery life, USB-C charge, support for voice assistants, multi-point connection, and more. Also, the buds are well-made and fit most ears very well. But the sound quality will definitely be best for bass fans or people who like bass.

The BoAt Rockerz 330 looks great, especially compared to what we usually see in this price range. It has a simple but stylish design with a well-made rubber neckband and metal sections on each side. The one on the right has the multi-function button, the volume buttons, and the USB-C charge port. The one on the left just has the BoAt logo and keeps the weight in the right place. The buttons feel good and respond well. There is also a small LED light that shows when the device is being used and when the battery is running low.

Features

BOAT Rockerz 385 V2

Even though the BoAt Rockerz 330 doesn’t have any standout features like Active Noise Cancellation, which isn’t something you’d expect at this price, it does have a good number of features that make it a good choice. The earphones have Bluetooth v5.0, which lets them connect to other devices, and a portable range of about 33 feet (without any obstacles). The earphones were able to keep the link going all the way through a small 1BHK room, which is pretty good. The SBC and AAC codecs are also built in. It’s great that AAC is supported at this price. The multi-function button on the speakers can also be used to call up the Voice Assistant. The earphones are also water-resistant up to IPX5, which means they can handle sweat and light splashes. This means you can use them in light rain or at the gym. Surprisingly, these earphones also have Dual Pairing, or Multi-point link, which means they can be joined to two devices at the same time. This is a great feature to see on a cheap pair of wireless earphones like the BoAt Rockerz 330, since multi-point connection is often missing from more expensive ones.

Performance

BOAT Rockerz 385 V2

The 10mm dynamic drivers in the BoAt Rockerz 330 give them a sound that is heavy on bass. Anyone who has used a BoAt product in the past should be familiar with this sound profile, since the company mostly makes audio devices with this sound profile because it wants to appeal to the most people. No matter what kind of music you’re listening to, the bass reaction is very strong and right in the middle. Sometimes the bass response sounds very dark, like the bass is way too loud and the mids and highs are masked.  However, when the instruments come in, the voices do get a little muddy. The earphones also have low-volume highs, which make it hard to hear the details of high-pitched instruments and singing. These parts of the song tend to be in the background, while the lows are definitely in the foreground. In all honesty, these headphones will only appeal to people who like very deep bass and mostly listen to pop, EDM, hip-hop, and Bollywood party and dance songs. The earphones can also get very loud, and we usually listen to them between 40 and 50% volume because the sound gets very distorted after 60%.

Battery Life

The best thing about the BoAt Rockerz 330 portable earphones might be how long the battery lasts. The gadget claims to have a power life of up to 30 hours. In our tests, the earphones lasted about a week when used 3–4 hours a day, so the claim seems to be about right. It definitely has a good battery life for this price range, and most people should only have to charge it once and then forget about it for a week or so, which is pretty handy. When the headphones run out of power and you need to charge them, you can do so quickly: 10 minutes of charging gets you a whopping 10 hours of playing. In about 40 minutes, the earphones can be fully charged..
