Setting up, Speed, and Quality of Output
Setting up a printer MFP like the MX922 on a network was a breeze. I used an Ethernet connection and a Windows Vista system to load the drivers and software for my tests. The MX922’s weak spot is how fast it can print. It came in at a lazy 2.4 pages per minute (ppm) on our business tools suite, which uses QualityLogic’s hardware and software to time things.

Simple to Use
The PIXMA MX922 scored seven on our test of how easy it was to use. This was close to the best score of 9 and much better than the worst score of 4. The setup guide is on the big screen, making the first setup easy. The screen is not touch-sensitive, but there is a four-by-four grid of lighted buttons whose functions change depending on your actions.
