OnePlus 12 to launch in China on December 5: Battery and Connectivity Details Verified

After the triumph of the OnePlus 11 5G, the OnePlus 12 will follow on December 5 with its introduction in China. This year’s February saw the debut of the latter. OnePlus has already revealed the forthcoming flagship model’s chipset, camera, and colour options, among other essential specs. More information about the phone, including its battery, charging capabilities, and available connections, has now been confirmed by the manufacturer. An executive at OnePlus has posted live photos of the phone. Additional live images have also surfaced online, providing clues about essential specs of the forthcoming OnePlus 12.
Li Jie Louis, the President of OnePlus China, has posted live photos of the OnePlus 12 in Pale Green and White. The back panel of the green version has a marbleized appearance. A third variant of Rock Black is also set to be released for the phone. The OnePlus 12 will have a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging, according to a post on Weibo by the company. Wireless reverse charging will also be supported.

It takes 26 minutes to fully charge the phone using the wired approach and 55 minutes to do the same using the wireless solution. OnePlus asserts that the 1.79 DOU (days of usage) battery life of the OnePlus 12 is superior to all comparable flagship Pro models. The OnePlus 12 will reportedly have a “multi-functional infrared remote control function” (which is a translation from Chinese) that allows customers to manage their household appliances from their smartphones, according to OnePlus. Additionally, the phone will be compatible with the latest low-power Bluetooth 5.4 and will have “all-region multi-functional NFC” capabilities.

Fast connectivity with USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 will also be available on the OnePlus 12, according to another article by the company. Additionally, the top-tier phone will include a dust-and-splash-resistant IP65 certification. At the same time, important OnePlus 12 specs have been hinted at by leaked live photographs shared on Weibo. Three RAM + storage variants—16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB, and 24GB + 1TB—are rumoured to launch with the phone, which bears the model number PDJ110. The photographs that have made it into the wild indicate that the phone will come with a front-facing 32-megapixel camera and a 6.82-inch screen.

A 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capability, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary sensor are all confirmed to be included in the OnePlus 12. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system on a chip will power it, and it will be based on Android 14. In addition to having 2K resolution and DisplayMate’s A+ certification, the handset will include a ProXDR display with a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits.
