What is in the box

In the box, we got with Motorola G62 5g handset the following:

Design

The Motorola G62 5g is very similar to all the other previous Motorola mobile phones. The phone is built using plastic so it will be durable. We found it to fit well in our hands with good finishing. It is slim, being 8.6mm, with a triple camera at the back, which is in the shape of an elongated pill. It also has flashlights and its brand and logo with the camera on the back. The back panel was slippery and a house for collecting fingerprints and smudges, which was not pleasing.

Audio Quality

The Motorola G62 5g is a Dolby Atmos in built for a better hearing experience. It also had dual stereo speakers, which made for a smooth calling and listening experience. We found it to have nice loudspeakers. It had clear audio with good bass, so overall, our audio experience was pretty good.

Connectivity and Software

Running on Android 12 OS, the Motorola G62 5g has a customised MyUI skin. The software ran pretty smoothly during our use. The User Interface was pretty clean and simple, with not much bloatware. The best feature we found was that the User Interface could be customized according to us, which was a plus. Even the call quality was pretty decent, with strong, good signals even in the lowest of connectivity areas. The voice was clear even during its use in a basement two levels down.

Battery and Charging

The Motorola G62 5g has a 5000mAh battery, which automatically means it should have a good battery life that will last you for a whole day, but we found something quite the opposite. It worked for an entire day with moderate use and no more than that. So, if you are looking for a phone that would have some good battery life, then the Motorola G62 5g might not be it. The phone took more than two hours to charge fully, which was not the best.

Pros and Cons of Motorola G62 5g

ProsCons
It has a good software performanceThe camera is not good in low light
It has a personalised User InterfaceIt does not have a good battery life
The audio quality is commendableIt only has an IP display
The storage is very limited.

Should I buy Motorola G62 5g or not?

We would recommend you to go for the Motorola G62 5g if you do not care a lot about battery life and charging or if you are a light user who isn’t on their phones all day long as we are. But if you are not someone like that, then we would not tell you to buy it only because of its poor battery performance.

Verdict

The Motorola G62 5g is a good phone overall, especially in its price range. It is one of the many phones Motorola has produced and is similar in its design as well but has some upgrade features with customizable UI and improved audio quality.
