- 1.6 Pros And Cons Of JLab JBuds Mini
How are JLab JBuds Minis so tiny? The casing is 50% smaller, and the earphones are 30% smaller than the Go Air Pop. Smaller than any other earphone I’ve seen. Storage isn’t an issue unless you’re worried about losing them, as they’re almost the tiniest. JLab added a keyring to the side so you can link them to your keys and never lose them. If the JLab JBuds Mini were bad, it wouldn’t matter, but they’re amazing for the price. Their $39.99 price fits any budget. The little, cheap JLab JBuds Mini packs a lot. Despite limited codec compatibility, Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity, the JLab app to customize settings, and a Be Aware mode make up for the lack of real ANC.
The IP55 rating is useful for steamy days. With 20 hours of play via the little charging case, a quick charge capability would be beneficial. 15 minutes would only give an hour of play.

Features
Small, the JLab JBuds Mini nearly seems to have nothing going for them. For inexpensive earphones, JLab has squeezed in a lot. Importantly, multipoint support lets you connect two devices at once, which expensive earphones may not have. You can always use one earbud, but Be Aware mode lets you hear what’s around you, including traffic. Lacking ANC, passive noise isolation is higher than expected for earbuds of this size and price, likely due to their snug fit. Using the JLab app, you can tweak the EQ using presets or manually. Your first need won’t be immediate, but we’ll discuss that later. Even with one earpiece, the JLab JBuds Mini felt ready due to their connectivity. Even with nearby options, those tiny features make the JLab JBuds Mini more appealing.
Sonic Quality
Despite their size and price, the JLab JBuds Mini Block Out sounds great. As you walk by, you’ll hear traffic, but not as much as with weaker headphones. With the JLab JBuds Mini always vivid, you may enjoy your music. The JLab JBuds Mini sounds nice out of the box, but the app’s EQ lets you customize them. I wish the bass were greater, but it’s still active with a broader soundstage than expected. With standard codecs, the JLab JBuds Mini works with streaming services but not aptX or LDAC. Vocals are always distinct, and ballads like Harry Styles’ Sign of the Times are sharp. When moving to dance-heavy music like David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s I’m Good (Blue), the tale weakens but still keeps you interested.
Design
We’ve been saying it, but the JLab JBuds Mini is little. With a keyring attachment, the case fits perfectly next to your keys. I hate forgetting my earbuds, so this is perfect for not hearing my surroundings. Naturally, the earphones are small, but not too small. There was no wobble during a run because they fit tightly in your ears. Extended use won’t hurt your ears because the earphones are comfortable. Controls annoy. Adjusting the bud in one’s ear is easy to mistake due to its small size. However, nobody enjoys clunky controls, so this is hard to criticize or praise.
Value
Plasticky JLab JBuds Mini cases fit their style. Importantly, they’re affordable and have many desirable characteristics. JLab’s Go Air Pop is the major competitor, with the EarFun Air Pro 3 and Lypertek PurePlay Z3 2.0 being bigger.
Full of traits
Your little, affordable headphones have a decent collection of features. With a 20-hour battery life, the earbuds can play more than five hours of music. The case takes two hours to charge and the earphones an hour and a half, yet 15 minutes of power gives you an hour of use. JLab met my Bluetooth multipoint needs with these headphones. JBuds Mini can connect to two devices and switch easily, so I can use them with my laptop and phone. I can listen to a YouTube video on my PC and answer a phone call without switching between them.
