The Astro A40 TR Headset + MixAmp Pro 2017 are excellent gaming headphones that are console-locked to the PS4 or the Xbox One. They are well-made and comfy for extended gaming sessions. Their audio quality is good. However, the bass is overemphasized. They feature an excellent microphone for internet multiplayer gaming, and their dock provides adequate controls. Unfortunately, the headset is somewhat large. In addition, they are not suitable for usage in a noisy environment due to the open-back design. We tested the Xbox One version of this headset but anticipated similar results for the PS4 version.
