Jennifer Anniston opens up about her final text to late actor Matthew Perry
The popular sitcom actress Jennifer Anniston claimed that she texted Matthew Perry the day he died. She claimed that her late co-actor was happy and had quit smoking as well. He was content, Jennifer said in a Variety interview. He was in good health. He was no longer smoking. He was getting fit. I just know that he was happy. Funny Matty, I was texting him that morning. He wasn’t having any difficulty.
Actress Jennifer Anniston & late actor Matthew Perry have worked together for the popular sitcom FRIENDS. Throughout the series, they became co-workers and later became very good friends. Jennifer Anniston and Matthew Perry’s friendships evolved in reel & real life as well.
In an interview with Variety, Jennifer talked about Matthew Perry and said that Matthew was getting better. She also said that he was being chased. He put in a lot of work. He had been dealt a very hard hand. I do miss him. Everyone does. He truly made us laugh so hard. I must add that I believe Matthew Perry’s speech pattern and dialect brought about a completely new universe. We kind of followed his lead. It simply made us happier in a way.
Jennifer had previously discussed Matthew’s passing in a November 15 Instagram post. In the caption, she said, “Matty, I know you are at peace now and pain-free, and I love you so much.” I speak with you every day, and occasionally I feel as though I can hear you ask, “Could you BE any crazier?” A few days prior, she shared a post on her Instagram Stories featuring the official Matthew Perry Foundation Instagram account, highlighting their “Giving Tuesday” initiative. She went to Instagram and requested her followers to join them in supporting the foundation for #GivingTuesday. The foundation is working to help those suffering from addiction,” she wrote in the caption. He would have been appreciative of the affectionate sentiment
On October 28, paramedics discovered Matthew Perry unconscious at his Los Angeles home. He was pronounced dead at the age of 54.
He appeared in ten seasons of NBC’s Friends alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
