Cardi B has officially confirmed that she and her husband, Offset have split after 6 years into this marriage.
The WAP rapper confirmed the split rumors during an Instagram Live session on Sunday, December 10.
She started the conversation by saying, I’ve been single for a minute now, but I have been hesitant to share this news with the world. However, I feel like today has been a sign.” Cardi attempted to reveal the news earlier but was unsure how to do it and what the fans would say.
It has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign,” she added.
In the Live, she even continued saying, “I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open,” “I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”
The Rumours
Cardi B and Offset caused the breakup stir online when they unfollowed each other on Instagram recently. The WAP rapper added to the speculations when she took to Instagram stories sharing “outgrowing relationships” and “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.” This went on for a while when even on a previous Instagram Live she talked about dropping “dead weight,” hinting there were some problems in the relationship.
Since their marriage in 2017, the couple has been in the headlines for the tumultuous relationship. They even separated for the first time in 2018 after the birth of their first daughter, Kulture. Offset even made a public apology for cheating on the rapper, and they eventually got back together.
But in 2020, Cardi again filed for divorce, stating that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” Yet they got back together and surprisingly in 2021 welcomed their second child named Wave.

After all the ups and downs of breakups, getting back together, pregnancy, and splitting rumors, the drama continues. The pair dealt with more drama when earlier this year, Offset publicly accused Cardi of cheating on him in an Instagram Message.
However, during an appearance on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, he admitted to lying about the accusation and using it as a way to threaten Cardi during a fight.
“It’s my wife, I love her to death, and we’re going back and forth,” he clarified. “If you got a New York woman…she’s a pit bull. She gets crazy at the mouth a little bit. And I was lit that night.” “At the end of the day, the people don’t know what’s going on with us for real,” he concluded.
